2017 was a great Year for LRRA.
2017 Rally attendees gathered at the College of the Ozarks for a Memorial Ceremony to honor fallen LRRPs-LRPs-LRS. The LRRA is working with the College of the Ozarks to place a paver, bench, or something to mark the service of LRRA Members.
A memorial to honor the service of those who have served in the Global War on Terror (GWOT) was dedicated at the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, GA. The LRRA placed a paver to honor LRS Men and Units and another paver to honor SPC Spencer Karol, LRS KIA in Iraq.
There is a Memorial Bench at the National Ranger Memorial, a bench at the national Infantry Museum, the two pavers at the GWOT Memorial, and a paver has been purchased to be place at the Army History Museum opening in 2019.
Members of H Company, 121 Infantry (LRS) pose at the LRRA Memorial Bench. H company was officially deactivated on November 29, 2017 at FT. Stewart, Georgia. As the US Army continues to deactivate LRS Units, it is vital that we get those personnel in the LRRA otr we may lose their histories.
The LRRA strives to recognize acts of Military Professionalism, Community efforts to honor Veterans, and Individual "Random Acts of Kindness".
The Cadets of VMI were presented a Certificate Of Merit by LRRA Member SFC Echevarria on behalf of the LRRA for their performance in the Presidential Inauguration Parade and their representation of the Military Services.
